"Hello, Em"

My sister has a blog now too! Here is a link to her blog :)

Super Bulldog Weekend and Mama's Birthday

The weekend was a pretty good one filled with baseball, JV dance team tryouts (oh my!) and Mama's birthday. Kayla was in town, and it was great to see her! Wish we'd had more than ten minutes to visit. Casey was in town also, and we went Saturday night to Tupelo and ate dinner at Harvey's with Mama and my sisters. We had a great time. I just wish we'd had more time together! I've shared some pictures from the weekend.

Thank goodness for CARAMEL BLENDS!

Whew! If I didn't have this caramel blend (coffee blend w/caramel) from LJs, I don't know what I'd do today! Ha. Let me tell you, today is just overwhelming. From work, to dance team, to trying to get my car fixed from two, yes TWO accidents (neither were my fault btw, two different people backed into me), this day is just all-around CRAZY! I hardly had time for lunch, but I definitely made time for my caramel blend. It's full of sugar and caffeine. Just what I need :)

Mandi sent me a link to the cutest blog. I especially liked the post about the lady running on the treadmill. It is hilarious. So check this out when you have time!

Super Bulldog weekend is coming up this weekend. I hope the weather is warm and beautiful, and I hope the Dogs can win some baseball against Georgia!

Say a prayer for my mom who is going to the doctor today. Won't go into details, but I know she is a bit nervous and hopes for a good report.

Praise You in this Storm

I ran across this song on a friend's myspace, and I had to share some of the lyrics. I needed this today.

Praise You in this Storm by Casting Crowns

I was sure by now,God, that You would have reached down
and wiped our tears away,
stepped in and saved the day.
But once again, I say amen
and it's still raining
as the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain,
"I'm with you"
and as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise
the God who gives and takes away.

And I'll praise you in this storm
and I will lift my hands
for You are who You are
no matter where I am
and every tear I've cried
You hold in your hand
You never left my side
and though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I need a title...

Another weekend has come and gone. I spent the weekend working the baseball games (boo--I can't STAND Ole Miss). Watched the basketball game Friday night, and WOW! what an interesting game that was. All I can say is if I'd been in the Georgia Dome when that tornado came through, I probably would've been absolutely freaking out! I'm so glad all my friends are safe! Just hate the Bulldogs had to come home without the championship.

My wonderful friend Rachel bought me the book, 90 Minutes in Heaven. I have been wanting to read this book for a while now, so I'm really excited about it. I read a little bit last night, and I am already amazed. I can't wait to read the rest. If my daddy and Matthew are experiencing even half of what the author confesses to experiencing in Heaven, then I find comfort in that.

I didn't post anything after last weekend, but it was a pretty good one. Mandi was in town from Tampa, and Casey was here from Houston. It was so great to see Miss Mandi! We always have fun stories to tell and have a great time catching up.

I think that's all for now...

They're predicting snow...

But will we really get snow? Who knows. I hope so except for the fact that I have to work baseball today, and it is going to be SO cold!!

I'm blogging this morning to hopefully get rid of my "blah" mood. Wow. How overwhelmed with emotion I've been lately. I guess we all go through some down time. I'll be glad when things start to brighten up around here. I have to try not to get anxious though. One of my favorite Bible verses is "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." (Phil. 4:6) I know the Lord has a great plan as always! I just ask that you pray for me as I'm dealing with some things and that I'll just trust in God in all I do.

On a lighter note~I look forward to a weekend full of COLD baseball, our last home basketball game, and hanging out with friends. :)

"Acknowledge and take to heart this day that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth below. There is no other." Deuteronomy 4:39

"5 minutes til MSU baseball..."

My weekend flew by as usual. I didn't do too much except work at the baseball games. Looks like many weekends to come will be filled with work. These pictures are of me, my friend Rachel, and the little girl is Anna Richey. I work with Anna's dad. (notice the wind-blown look I was obviously going for!)

I often visit biblegateway.com and read the verse of the day. I'll leave you with today's.
--"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55: 8-9

2 of my FAVES!

Here are two of my favorite videos. One is the best McDonald's commercial ever made! The other is a video from So You Think You Can Dance. It's a contemporary dance by Mia Michaels portraying a father and daughter reuniting in Heaven. Enjoy :)
